The 2023 finishes long with a tropical citrus inflection alongside nuances of sour melon and ginger. I could taste this beauty all day long. |

There are just seven barrels of the 2022 Cornas Vieilles Fontaines, which was destemmed and brought up in a mix of new and used barrels. It has classic cassis and darker berry fruits as well as lifted incense, violets, spice, and gamey, bouquet garni-like nuances. With medium to full-bodied richness, it's nicely balanced, has a layered, focused mouthfeel, ripe yet building tannins, and a gorgeous finish. It's just about impossible to find in the market, but it's a brilliant wine that deserves 2-3 years in the cellar and will evolve gracefully. Drink 2027-2047. |

The 100 percent USDA certified organic Blue Weber agave, harvested in small batches from a single estate, gives this tequila (distilled at Tequila Las Americas) a wonderful cooked agave intensity. The 18 months of American oak barrel aging injects some maple syrup and butterscotch notes that are just enough to make this a worthwhile sipper. |
